I was trying to keep the hallway comfortable rather than overly styled, and this piece fits that goal. I can change smaller things around this piece without feeling like the whole plan for the hallway has to change. I was hoping this piece would pull the hallway together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated. The look has a little more visual presence than I pictured, but it ended up working for the room.
