For the way we use my family room, even when the room is not perfectly tidy, the coffee table still makes the overall space feel intentional. I was aiming for a calmer overall arrangement, and the overall setup now feels much more coherent. It gives the seating area a clear center without making the room feel formal. This ended up being exactly the kind of update my family room needed.
One addition made our living room feel much less pieced together, and it was this piece. I was aiming for a more connected look across the room, and this got us much closer to it.
Seen with the rest of our main sitting area, I kept the rest of the room simple, and this piece gives the space just enough presence. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
