The more we use my study, the more natural this case piece feels there. I am glad I did not choose something more ornate for this space.
A few weeks in, this piece still feels like the right decision for my hallway. I did not need to change the rest of my hallway for this piece to make sense there. What surprised me was how much calmer the room seemed, especially when the house is busy. It has settled into the room as though it had always been planned there. It ended up being a stronger finishing touch than I expected. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
