My mother asked if we had redone the whole room when really the console was the main change. I did not buy it for compliments, but they have been a nice confirmation. From different parts of our hallway, the console still feels like it belongs with everything else. The change is subtle on its own but noticeable in the room as a whole. The look has a little more visual presence than I pictured, but it ended up working for the room.
