For the living area, the cabinet turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered. It has enough presence to matter, but the room still has breathing space. I was aiming for an update that would still feel comfortable day to day, and the result feels natural instead of staged. From different parts of the living area, the cabinet still feels like it belongs with everything else. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.
