I had been overthinking this part of the dining room; this credenza solved the visual problem more simply than I expected. The dining area feels ready for both everyday meals and company now. What surprised me was how much the surrounding furniture benefited visually, especially when friends are over. I was aiming for an update that would still feel comfortable day to day, and the rest of the furniture makes more sense around it. The best part for me is that the dining room still feels relaxed even with this credenza giving it more structure. This ended up being exactly the kind of update the dining room needed.

Looking at my main dining space now, it is surprisingly hard to find furniture that feels distinct without feeling loud, and this sideboard gets that balance right. I appreciate that the overall look is distinctive without becoming demanding. It helped the dining area feel like a complete room rather than just a table and chairs. This sideboard is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
