The best part is that the piece looks intentional in my dining area without asking for all the attention. What surprised me was how quickly it stopped feeling like a new addition, especially at the end of the day. I would choose the same direction again for this space.

For our dining area, the table turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered. It is distinct enough to notice and quiet enough to live with. I can change smaller things around the table without feeling like the whole plan for our dining area has to change. What surprised me was how much calmer the room seemed, especially when the room is being used normally. For me, that makes the table one of the better choices we made for our dining area.

The room was close to done before, but the dining table gave it the last bit of direction it needed. Meals feel a little more special without the room becoming formal. It works with what we already owned, so I did not feel like I had to rethink everything around it. I like that the dining table works with what we already had in the dining room instead of making the rest of the room feel outdated. I can change smaller things around the dining table without feeling like the whole plan for the dining room has to change. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
