For the dining room, I bought this dining table for everyday life rather than for show, and that is exactly how it feels in the room. The table has become part of our normal rhythm without making the room feel formal. I was hoping this dining table would pull the dining room together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in the dining room.
As part of my main dining space, I kept coming back to the piece because it looked like it would suit this room, and it does. The change is subtle on its own but noticeable in the room as a whole. The dining area feels more inviting whether it is a quick weekday meal or a longer dinner. The room took one extra round of rearranging before I was completely happy with it.
At first I was unsure how much the dining table would stand out in our dining area, but it settled into the space nicely.
