In the context of my sitting room, the balance in the room changed for the better once the table was there. Even a simple evening on the sofa feels a bit more pulled together with it there. It gives the seating area a clear center without making the room feel formal. What surprised me was how natural it felt with pieces we already had, especially at the end of the day.
