Even with the rest of the dining area unchanged, the table made the setup feel more complete. Meals feel a little more special without the room becoming formal. It is distinct enough to notice and quiet enough to live with. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
Here in my dining area, the piece has been easy to work into the room because the overall design does not feel fussy. The best part for me is that my dining area still feels relaxed even with this dining table giving it more structure.
I was aiming for understated, and this dining table landed in the right place visually. What surprised me was how quickly it stopped feeling like a new addition, especially when friends are over. I was hoping this dining table would pull my dining area together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in my dining area.
