Against what we already had, the rest of this room finally makes more sense around the console. It gives the room direction while keeping the relaxed feeling we wanted. It has enough presence to matter, but the room still has breathing space. For me, that makes the console one of the better choices we made for our front room.

My son normally has zero interest in furniture and still had something nice to say about this console. I like that this console works with what we already had in our front room instead of making the rest of the room feel outdated. Seeing this console with the rest of our front room makes the whole arrangement feel more connected. It is slightly more noticeable in the room than I expected, though not in a way I regret.
