I had been overthinking this part of the dining area; this table solved the visual problem more simply than I expected. I was aiming for a more intentional room without a full redesign, and this ended up being the right direction. It feels just as right for an ordinary dinner as it does when people come over. Here in the dining area, instead of changing everything in the room, I added this dining table, and that was enough. I was aiming for a room that felt collected rather than decorated all at once, and the rest of the furniture makes more sense around it.
