Among the other furniture in our reading corner, most days I do not think about the furniture individually, but this accent table still makes the room feel more settled. I am pleased with the decision and with how our reading corner came together.
In the context of the reading corner, I was aiming for understated, and this piece landed in the right place visually.
We were still unpacking when this table became part of our reading corner, but it immediately gave the space some direction. Finishing the room after so many other decisions felt like a relief. What surprised me was how natural it felt with pieces we already had, especially after we stopped fussing with the arrangement. It brings a little more structure to the room without making the arrangement feel rigid. I wish I had planned the surrounding pieces around it sooner; once I did, the room made more sense.
Here in our bedroom, living with the side table day to day has made me appreciate the decision more, not less. I spent a lot of time comparing options and am glad I did not rush the decision. The room took one extra round of rearranging before I was completely happy with it.
