In the overall arrangement, I wanted the house to feel lived in rather than staged, and the piece works well with that idea. The chair looks at home in the space even when the rest of the room is being used normally. I was hoping the piece would pull our reading corner together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated. The piece is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
