For our living area, the furniture we keep long term is usually the furniture that disappears into our routine, and the chest is already doing that. I did not need to change the rest of our living area for the chest to make sense there. I like how the chest gives our living area a clearer point of view without taking over. I was hoping the chest would pull our living area together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated.
