I wanted something we would enjoy every day, and this nightstand has become exactly that in my bedside area.
From the first glance across my primary bedroom, the room feels less temporary with the nightstand in it. The room feels calmer at the beginning and end of the day. For me, that makes the nightstand one of the better choices we made for my primary bedroom.
Seen with the rest of our primary bedroom, I kept the rest of this room simple, and this piece gives the space just enough presence. I was unsure about the overall effect at first, but after living with it, I like the direction.
From the doorway into our bedside area, the best part is that this bedside table looks intentional in this room without asking for all the attention. It was a small change that made the bedside setup feel intentional. Seeing this bedside table with the rest of our bedside area makes the whole arrangement feel more connected. I was aiming for a calmer overall arrangement, and the room feels more settled. I can change smaller things around this bedside table without feeling like the whole plan for our bedside area has to change. This bedside table is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
