For our main dining space, this sideboard turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered. The overall effect in our main dining space is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. The dining area feels ready for both everyday meals and company now. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
For this part of the house, my daughter noticed that the room looked finished the first evening this sideboard was there. It was nice to hear someone else notice the same improvement I had been seeing. It gives the dining space a stronger sense of balance. The room feels more grown-up now, but it still feels like a place we actually live in. It has become a quiet anchor for the dining space. For me, that makes this sideboard one of the better choices we made for our living area.
