With the smaller details kept simple, I wanted the space to look collected rather than decorated all at once, and the piece helped with that. The overall effect in our bedside area is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. The piece is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
In the context of our primary bedroom, I kept the rest of the space simple, and this bedside table gives the space just enough presence. The room feels more grown-up now, but it still feels like a place we actually live in.
