For this part of the house, on a normal day, this bedside table feels like it has always belonged in the space. Seeing this bedside table with the rest of our bedroom makes the whole arrangement feel more connected. It stands out just enough and still lets the rest of the room do its job. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
When I look at our guest bedroom as a whole, my wife and I rarely agree on furniture right away, but the piece was an easy yes once it was in the space. It gives the room direction while keeping the relaxed feeling we wanted. I can change smaller things around the piece without feeling like the whole plan for our guest bedroom has to change. I am glad I took the time to choose the piece.
In the context of our primary bedroom, I wanted one strong piece without making the room feel busy, and this worked out well. It was not an instant yes for everyone in the house, but it grew on us quickly.
