For the house we actually live in, it is easy to appreciate this piece on an ordinary weekday because it feels so at home in this room. I did not need to change the rest of my living area for this piece to make sense there. I was hoping this piece would pull my living area together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated. For me, that makes this piece one of the better choices we made for my living area.
With the rest of the room unchanged, I had been overthinking this part of this room; this credenza solved the visual problem more simply than I expected. I was aiming for an update that would still feel comfortable day to day, and the room finally has that balance. The space looks polished while the house still feels lived in. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
