Finding the best place for this piece took longer than I expected, but I am pleased with how our main dining space looks now.
We finished decorating our living area just before a housewarming, and the credenza ended up being the detail everyone noticed. The room feels better prepared for both everyday meals and having people over. I like that the credenza works with what we already had in our living area instead of making the rest of the room feel outdated. The piece adds definition, but the room still feels comfortable. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.
Against what we already had, our guests do not necessarily know what changed, but they keep saying the space feels better since the credenza went in. It feels good when a furniture choice works for the people who actually live with it. For me, that makes the credenza one of the better choices we made for our dining room.
