Against what we already had, I had been overthinking this part of the space; this piece solved the visual problem more simply than I expected. It has enough presence to matter, but the room still has breathing space.
Looking at the primary bedroom now, I wanted the house to feel lived in rather than staged, and this nightstand works well with that idea. It was not an instant yes for everyone in the house, but it grew on us quickly.
My partner and I had different ideas for our primary bedroom, and this piece ended up being the thing we both liked. The different opinions in our house finally landed in the same place. The bedside area feels much more finished at night and first thing in the morning. I did not need to change the rest of our primary bedroom for this piece to make sense there. The overall effect in our primary bedroom is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in our primary bedroom.
