Among the other furniture in our bedroom, I notice the room more than the individual piece now, which is exactly the effect I wanted. I like that the piece works with what we already had in our bedroom instead of making the rest of the room feel outdated.
As part of the everyday room, the room feels much more pulled together now, and the bed is a big reason why. There is enough character to notice without making the space feel busy. Seeing the bed with the rest of our bedroom makes the whole arrangement feel more connected. The overall effect in our bedroom is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
