For the way we use our main dining space, my favorite thing is how the piece makes the space feel finished without making it look staged. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.
A little time has only made me like the sideboard more in our dining room. The room feels better prepared for both everyday meals and having people over. The sideboard is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
In the overall arrangement, I chose the sideboard because I liked it, but the fact that everyone else responded well was a nice bonus. It feels good when a furniture choice works for the people who actually live with it. Seeing the sideboard with the rest of our dining area makes the whole arrangement feel more connected. The best part for me is that our dining area still feels relaxed even with the sideboard giving it more structure. I had to rearrange the surrounding furniture once before the setup felt right, which is the only reason I landed at four stars.
