In normal use, the table has been an easy addition to the open dining area and never feels fussy. I have already stopped thinking of it as the new piece, which is probably the best compliment. It works just as well on a normal weeknight as it does when people come over. The room feels more intentional now without losing the casual atmosphere we wanted. It has earned its place in the room.

The biggest thing I notice is how easily the dining table settles into the dining room over Sunday breakfast. It has been especially nice over Sunday breakfast. It gave the room the anchor it was missing. It has already been part of a few ordinary days and a couple of times when friends came over. I would happily choose it again for the same space.
