I bought it for the breakfast room, but I appreciate it most over family meals because the space just works better. I would still give it four stars only because it took some experimenting to get the room balanced around it. It has made everyday meals feel a little more special. The round shape works nicely with the way the room is laid out. The piece has a nice presence in person, but it does not make the rest of the room feel secondary. No regrets on this one.
The longer it stays in the open dining area, the more natural this table feels with everything around it.
Over holiday meals, I especially notice how well the table belongs in the dining room. It works with the rest of our furniture instead of competing with it.
