While finishing the breakfast room, I kept coming back to this dining table, and it turned out to be the right call.
At first glance, I liked the dining room centerpiece, but living with it in the eat-in kitchen is what really sold me. The overall look is polished without crossing into formal. It gave the room the anchor it was missing. The biggest difference is the sense of balance it gives the space. I am pleased with the decision.
Seen from different parts of the house, the table helps the dining room read as a more complete space. I have already stopped thinking of it as the new piece, which is probably the best compliment.
A month later, the dining table still feels like one of the better choices we made for the eat-in kitchen. I was looking for a change I would notice every day, and this has been exactly that. It has made everyday meals feel a little more special. It feels like a keeper.
