More than anything, I like how the sideboard works with the open dining area during real everyday use.
After dinner, I often notice how naturally the sideboard has become part of the dining room. It has been especially nice during visits from friends.
Watching the room come together, this buffet was the point when the room beside the kitchen finally started to feel finished. It gave the dining area a proper focal point. On busy days I barely notice it, but the room would definitely feel less complete without it. Very happy with how it has worked out.
