Here in our bedroom, the scale of the room feels better to my eye now that the bed is part of the arrangement.
As part of our bedroom, the room finally has a focal point that still feels easy to live with. I like that this bed works with what we already had in our bedroom instead of making the rest of the room feel outdated. It was not an instant yes for everyone in the house, but it grew on us quickly.
For the house we actually live in, I wanted the room to look collected rather than decorated all at once, and this bedroom piece helped with that. The room feels more finished, but not more formal, and that balance matters to me. For me, that makes this bedroom piece one of the better choices we made for the primary bedroom.
