Against what we already had, there is a more finished rhythm to this room now, and this bed anchors it nicely. I was aiming for a room that felt collected rather than decorated all at once, and this ended up being the right direction. It changed the tone of the room more than any smaller update could have. The best furniture choices for me are the ones that improve the whole room, and this one does. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.

Several weeks later, the piece has settled into our bedroom exactly the way I hoped. Seeing the piece with the rest of our bedroom makes the whole arrangement feel more connected.
