For the sitting area, the seat turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered. The chair looks at home in the space even when the rest of the room is being used normally. I can change smaller things around the seat without feeling like the whole plan for the sitting area has to change. I was aiming for something that would work with what we already owned, and the change feels noticeable without feeling dramatic. The sitting area feels better as a whole, which matters more to me than any single detail.
Looking at the bedroom now, the room feels less temporary with this piece in it. The best part for me is that the bedroom still feels relaxed even with this piece giving it more structure.
