The sitting area feels much more pulled together now, and this table is a big reason why. The overall effect in the sitting area is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. I was aiming for a change that would not force us to replace everything else, and this got us much closer to it. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.
Even with the rest of our sitting area unchanged, the side table made the setup feel more complete. I notice it most in the quiet parts of the day, which is exactly what I wanted. The visual weight feels right to me, and the room still has plenty of breathing space. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
Within our reading corner, I appreciate how the side table contributes to this room without competing with everything around it. What surprised me was how much the whole arrangement improved with one choice, especially when friends are over. The side table is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
