As part of my sitting room, the balance in the space changed for the better once this piece was there.
From the doorway into our dining area, instead of changing everything in the space, I added this piece, and that was enough. I was aiming for a piece that would add presence without taking over, and the rest of the furniture makes more sense around it. It took me a few days to get used to the change in the room, but I would still choose it again.
A little time has only made me like this piece more in the open living space. The room feels more deliberate, but not like someone styled it just for a photo. I was hoping this piece would pull the open living space together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated. This piece is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
