Instead of changing everything in our bedroom, I added this bedroom piece, and that was enough.

My son normally has zero interest in furniture and still had something nice to say about this bedroom piece. The compliments have been about the room as a whole, not just one object, which I like. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
