Compared with the room before, this dining room centerpiece makes the open dining area feel more intentional without adding clutter. We did not need to change anything else around it for the space to work.
Seen from different parts of the house, the dining table helps the open dining area read as a more complete space. It works with the rest of our furniture instead of competing with it. It gave the room the anchor it was missing. The piece photographs well, but I actually like it more in normal everyday light. For us, it was the right call.
Near the end of the day, the open dining area feels more settled with this dining table as part of the setup. I was looking for a change I would notice every day, and this has been exactly that. I am pleased with the decision.
