Under normal evening light, the console table still feels like the right choice for the living room. I am glad I did not try to fill the spot with something busier. It brought some structure to a spot that felt unfinished. The room feels more intentional now without losing the casual atmosphere we wanted. Very happy with how it has worked out.
Across the room, this entryway table reads as part of the space rather than something added as an afterthought. A couple of guests have commented on how finished the space looks now. It finished the space without adding visual clutter. It has been a solid addition to the room.
During a normal week, the entryway table has proven to be much more than a piece that only looks good. The room still feels relaxed, which was important to me. It gave an empty wall a purpose. No regrets on this one.
