Here in the guest bedroom, the room was close to done before, but this piece gave it the last bit of direction it needed. What surprised me was how much the whole arrangement improved with one choice, especially when the house is busy. The bedroom has a calmer, more complete feeling now. The overall effect in the guest bedroom is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. The room feels more grown-up now, but it still feels like a place we actually live in. The room took one extra round of rearranging before I was completely happy with it.
My partner keeps pointing out that this piece was one of the better choices we made for our bedroom. The compliments have been about the room as a whole, not just one object, which I like.
