Instead of changing everything in the living area, I added the piece, and that was enough. It has enough presence to matter, but the room still has breathing space. It did not take long for the piece to feel like it belonged with everything else. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in the living area.
For my hallway, I was aiming for understated, and this console table landed in the right place visually.
The placement feels right, the room feels settled, and I am glad I chose this console. The best part for me is that our entryway still feels relaxed even with this console giving it more structure. I am glad I took the time to choose this console.
