Of everything I changed in the hallway, this piece made the most immediate visual difference. I was aiming for a change that would not force us to replace everything else, and the room feels easier on the eye. The overall effect in the hallway is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. It was not an instant yes for everyone in the house, but it grew on us quickly.
Even with the rest of the hallway unchanged, this piece made the setup feel more complete. From different parts of the hallway, this piece still feels like it belongs with everything else. The case piece adds presence without making the room feel closed in. I am glad I took the time to choose this piece.
In our study, family came over recently, and the cabinet ended up getting more compliments than anything else in the space. What surprised me was how natural it felt with pieces we already had, especially when everything is not perfectly styled. The case piece adds presence without making the room feel closed in. For me, that makes the cabinet one of the better choices we made for our study.
Here in my study, I notice this cabinet most during the ordinary parts of the day, which is probably the best compliment I can give it. I like that it adds presence without making the space feel staged.
