Our foyer looks more considered with this accent console, but it still feels comfortable and lived in.
It is easy to forget this accent console is new because it already feels completely at home in the entryway. Nothing about it feels fussy in day-to-day use. It gave an empty wall a purpose. It has earned its place in the room.
For a lived-in home, this console table strikes a nice balance between noticeable and easygoing. The first placement did not quite work for me, but moving it slightly made a big difference. It works nicely as the first piece you see when you walk in. It is noticeable enough to add character, but not so noticeable that everything else has to match it. I can see this staying in the room even if we change some of the surrounding pieces later. I would make the same choice again.
