In the finished room, of everything I changed in the room, this credenza made the most immediate visual difference. It did not take long for the piece to feel like it belonged with everything else. The room feels more finished, but not more formal, and that balance matters to me. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in our dining room.
With some time in the room, this credenza feels less like a new purchase and more like part of the house.
As a piece of the overall room, the furniture we keep long term is usually the furniture that disappears into our routine, and this piece is already doing that. The surrounding furniture feels less random now that this piece is part of our living area. The look has a little more visual presence than I pictured, but it ended up working for the room.
