I thought I would mostly notice the look, but what I like is how normal the dining table feels in our day-to-day life. Meals feel a little more special without the room becoming formal. I would make the same decision for our dining room again.

My sister asked about the table the first time she saw our dining room.

Within our dining room, there is a quiet confidence to this dining table that works well in the space. The dining area finally feels like a place we actually want to linger. Meals feel a little more special without the room becoming formal. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.

Looking at our dining area now, my daughter noticed that the room looked finished the first evening the piece was there. It has enough presence to matter, but the room still has breathing space. I like that the piece works with what we already had in our dining area instead of making the rest of the room feel outdated. The dining area feels more inviting whether it is a quick weekday meal or a longer dinner. I am glad I took the time to choose the piece.
