Making the open dining area feel complete took fewer changes than I expected once this dining room piece was in place. The overall look is polished without crossing into formal. It made the room feel more pulled together. No regrets on this one.
Once the novelty passed, I still liked how the sideboard made the open dining area feel during everyday life. I am glad I did not try to fill the spot with something busier. It adds presence without taking over the room. I would happily choose it again for the same space.
The breakfast room feels more coherent now, and this buffet is a big reason why. It took a little more styling around it than I expected, but I am very happy with the result now. It turned out to be exactly the kind of update we needed.
Personally, I appreciate that the buffet makes the open dining area look finished but not overly styled. I was looking for a change I would notice every day, and this has been exactly that.
