From the first glance across the guest bedroom, I wanted the space to look collected rather than decorated all at once, and the bedroom piece helped with that. I like that the bedroom feels put together without becoming too formal.
Within our bedroom, a lot of furniture looks good by itself, but the bedroom piece also works with the rest of the room. From different parts of our bedroom, the bedroom piece still feels like it belongs with everything else. The overall effect feels considered without becoming precious. Our bedroom feels better as a whole, which matters more to me than any single detail.
The more we use our primary bedroom, the more natural this piece feels there.
With the rest of the room unchanged, the overall look is calmer now that this bedroom piece is part of the room. The bedroom feels calmer when I walk in at night. The room feels more grown-up now, but it still feels like a place we actually live in. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
