We had been putting off our main dining space until the rest of the house was done; this dining table made the wait feel worthwhile. It gives the room a clear center and makes the rest of the dining space feel intentional.
Here in our main dining space, this dining table has a natural place in this room now, whether we are using the space or just walking through. For me, that makes this dining table one of the better choices we made for our main dining space.
In the main dining space, it is easy to appreciate the dining table on an ordinary weekday because it feels so at home in this room.
Looking at our dining room now, the room did not need a full redo; adding the dining table was enough to make it feel considered. What surprised me was how much calmer the room seemed, especially with the rest of our furniture around it. The room feels more grown-up now, but it still feels like a place we actually live in.
