From one side of the guest bedroom to the other, the room did not need a full redo; adding this piece was enough to make it feel considered. I like seeing the room look put together even on an ordinary weekday.
Against what we already had, most days I do not think about the furniture individually, but this piece still makes this room feel more settled. Nothing else in the room had to be replaced for the new setup to work. There is character here, but not so much that the space feels busy. It has become part of the bedroom without making the room feel overly styled. The space feels more mature now without losing the relaxed feeling we wanted. This ended up being exactly the kind of update our primary bedroom needed.
For the house we actually live in, the scale of the room feels better to my eye now that this dresser is part of the arrangement. The room feels more finished, but not more formal, and that balance matters to me. The visual weight feels right to me, and the room still has plenty of breathing space. I would give it five stars if I had not spent so much time second-guessing the placement.
