As part of the everyday room, the rest of this room finally makes more sense around this piece.
It was the final furniture decision for our new place, and this piece made our guest bedroom feel settled. It gave us one part of the house that felt done while everything else was still settling. What surprised me was how little else needed to change once this was in place, especially after we stopped fussing with the arrangement. It gives the room direction while keeping the relaxed feeling we wanted. I was aiming for a calmer overall arrangement, and the result feels natural instead of staged. It took me a few days to get used to the change in the room, but I would still choose it again.
My daughter noticed that our primary bedroom looked finished the first evening this dresser was there. This ended up being exactly the kind of update our primary bedroom needed.
With the rest of the room unchanged, I kept the rest of this room simple, and this dresser gives the space just enough presence.
