Morning and evening, the piece simply works with how we actually live in our sitting room. The overall effect in our sitting room is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. I like that the room still feels relaxed rather than overly coordinated. The piece is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
There is a more finished rhythm to our main sitting area now, and this table anchors it nicely.
In our family room, the room was close to done before, but this table gave it the last bit of direction it needed. What surprised me was how much the surrounding furniture benefited visually, especially at the end of the day. This ended up being exactly the kind of update our family room needed.
