My first impression was good, but the coffee table makes even more sense after seeing it in the family room every day. The round shape works nicely with the way the room is laid out.
During movie nights, this living room table is the part of the sitting area that makes everything feel more settled. The room feels more balanced from almost every angle now.
The center table gives the living room a clearer focal point while keeping the overall mood relaxed.
Before guests arrive, there is very little I feel the need to change around this center table in the living room. I would still give it four stars only because it took some experimenting to get the room balanced around it. It has become part of the everyday rhythm of the room. A family member asked what we had changed because the whole area looked more pulled together. I would happily choose it again for the same space.
